I've already mentioned about the exhibition in UNESCO Palace in Beirut. Here, the paintings of Diana. She is young, Lebanese and student of Fine Arts. Diana's paintings with her expression.
As a Lebanese the only contact I have with Palestine is thru the media. I felt it’s unjust to do simple landscape painting since I never been there, and painting thru a picture turned out to be a total disaster at least for me, so I painted :
“they said so” as a result of the research I have done on Jerusalem and in this painting I painted the pen of the historians in the upper part of the painting ,, and I combined the Christian and Muslim heritage and i lefted the upper part of the canvas simple to express the future that we the new generation will write.
In “I m human” I expressed the situation of the Palestinians that are dying and suffering in blood and hurting...
In “bye bye ugly” I painted the ultimate dream of the Palestinians that are hoping that one day they will say bye by sea to the Israeli just the way they came in...
In “Palestine is free at last “ it wasn’t a painting in colors and pigment ,but collage of newspapers , that say one expression Helen Thomas prediction achieved :Palestine is free at last ..Maybe one day her words will become a reality.
In ”in Arabic“ I wrote the word kudos, (Jerusalem ) and repeated it and camouflage it to shapes and figures to express the Palestinians lifestyle.
In “In colors” I used the collage of colored paper and the use of acrylic and oil painting to do the varieties and the complexity of the Palestine’s diversity it s the shape of the city seen from above and painted with colors instead of earthy colors to express the living and hopes of it people...
